A stay at Crowne Plaza Portland Downtown Convention Center places you in the heart of Portland, walking distance from Moda Center and Veterans Memorial Coliseum. This hotel is within close proximity of Pioneer Courthouse Square and Tom McCall Waterfront Park.

Rates & Rooms
The con rate is $149 per night for a standard room (plus taxes, etc.) for one or two people. The  rate is an extra  $10 for a third or fourth person in a room. The rooms will be priced at the con rate from October 21-24, 2021. The Crowne Plaza has 241 air-conditioned rooms featuring refrigerators, microwaves, and a pillow top bed. Wired and wireless Internet access is complimentary, while 32-inch LCD televisions with cable programming provide entertainment. Check in is at 3pm. Check out is at noon.

The Crowne Plaza does their best to provide for all guest with all needs. Learn about the accessible rooms, spaces and services available, from TTY devices and accessible parking, to assistive listening devices and beyond here. Service animals are allowed, but no other pets.

There are two ways to reserve a room in the convention block – and just as a reminder for those who aren’t familiar with con finances, it’s extremely important to the con that you reserve a BF4F room, so please do use one of these methods – the con depends on it! Reservations must be made on or before the cut-off date of Tuesday, September 29, 2020 in order to be eligible for the group rate.

Getting There

​

By Air 

The closest airport is the Portland airport (aka PDX). The con hotel is about 12 miles away from the Portland Airport  (more info can be found here https://www.flypdx.com/).

By Train 

The closest train station to the hotel is Amtrak's Union Station  (more info can be found here https://www.amtrak.com/stations/pdx).

By Bus 

The Greyhound Bus Station is right next Union station (more info can be found here: https://locations.greyhound.com/bus-stations/us/oregon/portland/bus-station-790845). If you live in Oregon, Washington, or Vancouver, BC, you might be able to take the Bolt Bus. The Portland stop is at 1060 Ne 13th Ave (more info can be found here: https://bustracker.boltbus.com/stops/790109/Portland_OR).

By Car 

From the North

Traveling on Interstate 5 toward Portland take exit 302A toward Rose Quarter City Center. Go one block after crossing N Broadway then turn left on N Weidler and go three blocks and turn right on NE 2nd Ave hotel will be on your right.

 

From the South

From points south using Interstate 5 exit 302A and turn right onto NE Wiedler St. Go one block east then turn right onto NE 2nd Ave. Hotel is on your right.

 

From the East

From points east use Interstate 84 then exit onto Interstate 5. Go a half mile then exit 302A and turn right onto NE Wiedler St. Go one block east then turn right onto NE 2nd Ave. Hotel is on your right.

 

From the West

Highway 26 East, use right lane to merge onto Interstate 405 S, and then merge onto Interstate 5 N. Take exit 302A and turn right on NE Weidler, then right on 2nd Ave, Hotel will be on your right.

There is onsite parking at the hotel for a reduced fee of $7 a day or $18 overnight per vehicle to all registrants. There is also limited metered parking on the street.

Entertainment & Shopping

Within walking distance or short drive/cab ride you will find Lloyd Center Shopping Mall, as well as a Regal Cinema. Downtown Portland is across the river, about a ten minute drive away.

​

Food 

The hotel has a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner (view the menu). Also nearby are several pubs, a food court at the mall, Starbucks, Peet's, Little Big Burger, Burgerville, Wendy's, Subway, Pizza places, McDonalds, Safeway, Walgreens, 7-11, as well as many more restaurants in a variety of cuisines.
